West Highland Way Reunion in the Peak District
Such are the friendships formed on Charitytrek events that some of the participants that took part in this year's West Highland Way planned a little get together last Sunday (19th July) in the Peak Disrtict.
Our picture shows the group sitting outside the Hope Cafe in Castleton enjoying a light refreshment together with some personal comments on their day.
"Because we enjoyed the company of each other so much on the West Highland Way we just had to get together again, simple really!!
We chose Castleton in Derbyshire as our destination because it was quite central for us all to meet and a great place to walk.
Weather wasn't so great like but it most certainly didn't stop us from having fun or drown my Gadget which took the photo which you may of guessed!!
Hope your well and I'm sure the others would love to comment also so let's see what they say also hey!!"
Anthony Williams
"I would like to endorse what Anthony has said about our reunion in Derbyshire. It was great seeing David, Carl and Anthony, but it was a shame that Jas and Manjit were not able to be with us - hopefully next time.
It brought back all the laughs we had on the West Highland Way, helping us to get to the end.
Beryl and I will be booking on the Great Glen Walk soon! Seriously."
