West Highland Way 9 - 14 May 2009
On Saturday 9 May 10 eager participants assembled in Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow ready to tackle the 96 mile West Highland Way to Fort William.
The group would be looked after by one of Charitytrek's senior guides Richard Baird, a Police Sergeant based in Portree on the Isle of Skye
The charities benefitting from the groups efforts included The North London Hospice, Epilepsy Action and MacMillan Cancer Support.
The weather on day 1 was absolutely horrendous with heavy wind and rain but didn't dampen their spirits.
On Sunday morning the sun was splitting the skies and remained that way for the duration of the walk.
Collectively the charities stand to benefit to the tune of at least £12,000 which is a great effort from everyone who took part.
